anyone know about gas meters?

We changed gas suppliers recently as our old one (eon) were expensive. We are on a meter so top it up ourselves. Now eon are saying we owe nearly 300 pounds on gas!!! How is this possible?

If you were paying a monthly figure then it could be that you used a lot more gas than estimated?

If you pay quarterly then it could be your final bill?

Did you take regular readings??

its a meter so we top it up as and when it needs to be, normally every couple of days x
