it's definately not cheap having a meter, it was costing me £60 at least for gas per month and £30 for electricity, once I got my house back (after the divorce) it was nice not to have the meters and my bill went down to £55 a month for both

So for people who pay by direct debit, how much a month does it cost you??

we live in a 3 storey, 3 bedroom house, there are 2 adults (3 atm as MIL has moved in ) plus Libby.....ours electric is about £60 per month.
We lived in an all electric 2 bedroom apartment before we moved, and that was £75 a month, as included electric to heat the water & the house, we now have a gas boiler for that so less on electric but have gas bill too which is about £20 a month.
