ive got my GTT and im just wondering how bad is the "special drink"


the woman describing the procedure tomorrow sort of screwed her face up when she said special drink...


is it really that bad?


what does it taste like?

its not gonna make me sick is it?

i gotta take 1 in december...I had the drink during labour though cuz a midwife suggested my pee told her i was hungry lol...basicaly its just a high calorie drink...it wasnt that bad just thick. i got offered orange, lime or Black currant. I had orange.

I had it last week and i liked the drink. It tasted of orange and lemon. Or maybe i'm just strange!

ur lucky they r sendin u for summat lozzi, they never dectected it with me and now they suggest i had gest diabetes coz aaliyah was 11lb 2 and my fist baby...i gotta go for 1 on dec 15th now cuz it can check your blood for the last 6 weeks i think...weird lol.

well on palpatation shes' big according to this silly doc at ante natal the other week, its balls coz on my scan she was well within normal range...


i think its that doc trying to add something else to the lets upset laura list hahah

I had it hun at 28 weeks,it was just a small very sugary drink didn't taste too bad just very very sweet,you will be fine xx

I had this at 28 weeks. It tasted like lucozade... not too bad at all!

i had 3 with hannah and it is lucazade that you drink still didnt pick up anything wrong and hannah was 10lb 40z born at 36 weeks so i dont think it is to reliable

am i the only one that found it hard to keep the drink down? tasted kinda like lucazade but with asprins in I spent the following two hours burping the taste back up!

we didn't get a choice of flavours

i had lucozade for my GTT drink...had to drink it really fast and it was so fizzy i nearly choked!!

i was heaving so bd and there was sooo much of it to drink

AND they wudnt let me having any water to drink it with/drink for 2 ours after as it wud affect the result!
