When we found out we were expecting, we decided to keep it quiet until the 12 week scan. we have told a few close friends but my concern was the children knowing and if anything bad happened having to explain it to them. As I have had bleeding and still have an area around the placenta that needs monitoring we were glad we made that decision.
But it is getting really hard to keep it quiet now. My 6 year old daughter patted my belly yesterday and said "mummy I know you are just a little bit fat, but you do look like you're having a baby!"
I've had other comments off the kids saying "Are you sure you're not pregnant. You look it!".
I'm slim anyway, and really do look like I've got a football shoved under my tops! The more I try to hide it the more obvious it looks! OH finds it all rather funny. This is our first, and I spent ages telling him with my other 3 I didn't start showing till 5/6 months!!
If I hadn't had the two early scans I would have said my dates are wrong and I'm further gone, but they put me at 10 n half weeks!!!
Is anyone else having problems hiding their belly at such an early stage?
