Apart from me and DH the only other person who knows is a close friend, and I'm really struggling to keep it quiet in particular at work. :x

I'm the kind of person who really like talking and will always be telling others how I feel and what I've been up to etc.

Today I was teaching a full day and had 4 lessons with my worse classes who seemed even worse today than usual. At the end of the day I would have loved to get chatting with other teachers - generally moaning about the kids, but I know that I would just let it slip.

I really don't want to tell my head of department until at least end of May as I know she will be planning timetabling for next year and if she knows I won't be there after xmas she'll give me all the rubbish groups, and as I only started there in september I already have all the bad ones this year.

What did you/or what are you doing to help yourself keep it quiet for a little while?

i didnt keep quiet and told the world the min i found out but i understand thats not for everyone i dont think id have managed to keep it in tho

That is what I really want to do aswell serenity

I'm finding it hard not to tell people, especially with how sick I feel! The only thing that stops me is that I will worry that I have jinxed myself if I tell before 12 week scan. Silly I know but still can't believe I am lucky enough to be pregnant :)

Oh, I have found it incredibly hard. I was quite sick at work and had to keep rushing to the loo, but I don't think anybody noticed (surprisingly!). I ended up telling people earlier than I wanted to - I planned on telling NOBODY apart from my mum until I'd had the scan. But now a few close friends know, my sister, OH's sister, Dad & stepmum know. Also I told work today! And my scan isn't until thursday!

Hi hon, it is really hard to keep it quiet but if you have a good reason to at work eg: the classes, I would use that as your reason to keep quite. My job is in the process of being upgraded and I'm using that as my reason not to shout it from the rooftops!! xxx

I am now feeling really bad - the timetable for next year is currently being discussed and my boss came to me today to show it - she has put me down to teach nearly all the top sets in years 9, 10 and 11.

I really wanted to tell her as I just don't want her to let her and the kids down, but on the other hand I'm thinking anything could happen in the next few month and I don't want to jeopardise stuff for next year! :wall2:

Just think, if you hadn't had any pregnancy symptoms already you'd only just be questioning whether you were pregnant. And you can always say that you only just found out when you tell them.
At the end of the day, they'll deal with it! So don't worry :)
