I am finding I feel most sick in the afternoon - and REALLY rotten when I get into bed at night (indigestion, bloated feeling, nausea, back ache etc).

Anyone else?

Oh also, is anyone else's digestive system just developing a mind of it's own????

I seem to get morning and afternoon sickness then feel better in evening

Yep but I seem to really want Coke Zero or Irn Bru which obvioulsy doesnt quench the thirst

I'm on the pineapple juice - WOOOOOHOOOOO! Go me and my bad self!

I think the best way to describe my stomach at the moment is 'hostile'! :(

I am only 4 weeks, 3 days and I lost my appetite at 2 weeks...it still hasn't returned. I am finding liquids the most difficult, especially if carbonated as drinking results in quite ferocious gurgling and burping!

My nausea seems to be easing up a bit though. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not - it was really getting to me, but it was also a reassuring sign of pregnancy. :? I did go to the toilet for the first time in a week yesterday (TMI), so maybe that helped ease my digestive system.

Lower back ache is keeping me awake at night as I need to constantly change position. :x

I think I could go on complaining all day about my symptoms, but I don't reallyvwant them to go away. It's definitely a love hate relationship!

Very happy to be pregnant for the first time though. :cheer:

Just wait until you're nearing your due date and eating 3 whole pineapples a day trying to get baby to come out  Thats what I did anyway! Ended up going out on hubbys quadbike for a few mins a few days before due date and went into labour the next day so stufft the pineapples this time

PMSL you are hilarious! Hubby is looking forward to testing the spicy food theory when the time comes as he LOVES indian and at the moment he is banned from it as the smell nauseates me when I'm NOT pregnant!

I have some SERIOUS wind going on!

  Farty pants   I was very windy through the night, hubby kept giggling

Mine is less than amused! He says it's very unfair that if he or one of the dogs trumps I demand that they leave the room due to my heightened sense of smell - but that I can freely stink with no come-uppance

  I know!! If hubby or dog farts I shake my head and pfft at them yet I will happily trump away without batting an eyelid

 becareful! pineapple was the thing 3tri women have to start their labour! don't wanna scare u but im avoiding these things!

Duly noted - wasn't aware of the pineapple thing (only aware that it's good for digestion which is why I was buying it). I'm on orange squash now!

Why do I not know all this stuff! I had a nice bath last night and was then told by my mum that in the olden days women used to have hot baths to get rid of unwanted pregnancies!!!!!

So that's baths and pineapple on the no-no list!

Small quantities of pineapple juice is fine hun, large amounts could cause uterine contractions leading to miscarriage but I think it would have to be a VERY large amount from what I've read

hot baths are no-nos, but a warm bath is fine. Shouldn't be over 38deg C and more than 15 mins. Also check what you put in it - some essential oils are risky, e.g. you shouldn't use sage-based bath stuff apparently, and it's best not to use rosemary in the evening (it has a warming effect, can make you overheat when you get into bed). Most products contain such small amounts of essential oils that you should be fine whatever.

for some reason I'm feeling queasy about 10 mins after lunch, then 30 mins later can't keep my eyes open. I feel fine for the rest of the day and then feel queasy again when I brush my teeth before bed...

Dont feel stupid hun, the whole point of us being here is to help each other out. I've already had a baby and still forgot about some of the things you're supposed to avoid (hubby kindly reminded me I was allowed to eat nuts)

Thanks babe - I feel a little bit unprepared in some ways as I guess I wasn't really expecting to get a BFP after only one month of trying and thought I'd have time to gather a little knowledge along the way! Not that I'm complaining!

Just be prepared for lots of stupid questions!

Just on the pineapple thing, it's something to do with an enzyme which is found in fresh pineapple - and by fresh they mean just cut off the fruit itself - tinned and juice doesn't have the same effect as the enzyme has deteriorated or evaporated soon after cutting.

Anyway, sex is best for getting stubborn babies out, but leave that for Tri 3 :rotfl:

Hubby might be getting it elsewhere if he has to wait til 3rd tri!
