Hia folks.

Firstly I'd like to say hello to the long term ttc forum :-)

After a really tumultuous few months, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis via an emergency surgery to remove a melon sized cyst from my ovary, which unfortunately led to losing 3/4 of the ovary, the discovery of adhesions sticking a few bits together, and a lot of blood loss.

From some reading, it seems that 1 in 10 women suffer with endo, and up to 50% of them can suffer from infertility, which can be explained by cysts, adhesions, and distortion of tubes/organs, but is often unexplained.

Are there any other endo sufferers out there??

Right now they think I wasn't conceiving due to my uterus having been pushed totally to my left side, effectively closing the cervix. I'm 2 months out of surgery, but things not being simple, I've developed large seromas, which are distorting the uterus again. Will be starting ttc again as soon as I get the go ahead from the doctor. I did have 1 dose of decapeptyl before surgery along with 2 weeks of visanne, but no hormone meds since

Me!!

I have an endometriosis cyst on my right ovary which is really painful, fertility specialist believes that this is causing 'sub fertlity'

I have just completed 5 rounds of clomid an now moving on to iui with ovulation stimulation.

Had lap n dye 18months ago and had excision of endo then, but it's back! I had a pregnancy of unknown location 2 years ago an specialist said this may have been because of endo in tube, so at risk of ectopic with iui.

I do wonder whether endo rates are in fact much higher but you only find out about it when you have problems conceiving?!? ( mild that is)

Anyway good luck to you xxxxx

I have endometriosis too but conceived quickly after it was removed, just started ttc number two now.

Me too. I wasn't aware that I had endo until my second HSG at the IVF clinic (hospital one missed it) picked it up. We are 'unexplained infertility' and now under going our first round of IVF. Good luck with your journey x

I have severe endo - I had a lap and dye in November. I had chocolate cysts removed from both ovaries and my ovaries had been stuck together because they were so enlarged. The scarring has also blocked one tube.
I had my follow up about 3 weeks after my lap and the cysts were already back - so we have been referred for IVF now. It's going to be a long road I think! Xx

Hey folks :-) statistically I figured I wasn't alone, but it's comforting to hear some other voices out there :-) I just got back from my latest ultrasound. A nice big pool of what is probably blood, along with a load of what the dr thinks are big clots about 5cm by 4 cm, one stuck to what's left of my ovary. all in all, pretty icky. And it's got me a month of anti inflamatories and 3 months of visanne, plus a continuation of the sex ban! Booooo! My husbands going to forget what my lady bits look like soon. Fortunately he gets regular anatomical complaints to remind him they're there ;-) lucky man.

Hi, I have endo but not sure what stage. I suspect it's not great as he suggested IUI probably wouldn't work so we might want to go straight to IVF.
It is nice to know you're not alone. i knew I had endo because sometimes I felt like I was dying when AF arrived, but no-one took me seriously until I begged for a lap so they couldn't fob me off any more. Since the lap my belly button scar won't close properly and is very sore (no-one is concerned over 6 months later) and my belly is huge (my friends were convinced I was pregnant yesterday when I tried on a bridesmaids dress for a bride-to-be friend- so embarrassing).

I want to try to reduce the endo naturally but don't know where to start :/ x

Me! Severe endeo and cysts. I came off all my medication last October to prepare for I've and fell.pregnant naturally in the February. I was told it was impossible for me to conceive naturally. And I actually conceived the November too but it wasn't sticky x
