anybody watched this?

i caught the end of it a while ago, the first time around it was on. actually, i might have watched it the week we concieved :rotfl:

gonna go re-watch it when i've had some tea!

hey hun!

i have seen it!! it was TV on a while back and i remember it freaked me out!!! especially when i saw how gross an actual real life placenta is! :rotfl:

The bit where she tried the gas and air cracked me up, it brought back so many memories as did the bit where the last water birth said ouch it really hurts while she was pushing, out of all my birth memories the actual delivery is the most vivid and i can to this day remember the feeling of the head coming out :?

i remember i was real emotional watching the water birth, the part wen she was handed her beautiful baby and her partner was over her shoulder did it for me!! i cant wait to have the same look on my face, she was so happy, proud. here i go again!!

I also felt a little for the partner of Tara as he seemed a bit redundant :(

am now watching it, i may regret this i think :D

I have never heard of it before. I'm going to watch it now :D Hope it's not too scary

Oh how wierd.. im watching her doing another documentary as we speak. I did watch it and i thought it was really badly done (just in my opinion)

I found the programme very much one sided and was getting annoyed with her saying what a nightmare giving birth is and why do it etc etc.. I do understand that the whole idea was that at the end she turned round and said she now understands why but i just found watching it very frustrating.

I would much rather watch a programme showing the amazingly positive experience of pregnancy and giving birth. We all know it may hurt like hell but having it shoved in your face really isnt gonna make it any easier surely.

When i watched a programme a while back about woman who gave birth without any medical intervertion i was completely inspired.. i thought some of them were slightly crazy for doing what they did but it did make me feel very positive about the birthing experience.

I watched this before I gave birth, it didn't put me off though! :) I don't think it's as horrific as it looks! Your usually too out of it to care!

To be honest i enjoyed it for what it was, it wasnt about showing a positive or negative side to child birth but her wanting to see a birth and find out more about what can actually happen.
I thought it was good and made me laugh. :D

I watched it before and actually really enjoyed it. She just put across her own perception of childbirth in the beginning and it was wonderful to see how emotional she got.

I enjoy watching her programmes, on whatever subject as she has a candid sense of humour that appeals to me. :D

I really enjoyed it :D Thought it was funny and I found some of it really interesting. Thanks for the link, great post :cheer:

I watched it last week, thought it was really good.

Her reaction to the episiotimy was hilarious! It was funny when she was in with the woman having the water birth on her own and didn't know what to do with her - I reckon thats what my husband will be like :D

It didn't put me off. Seeing women after giving birth talking normally and looking well always makes me feel better about having to give birth :D
