I had a scan about 3 weeks ago and they said baby was measuring small for me but last week I was 34+2 and when my midwife measured me she said I measured 36 weeks and that the baby didn't feel smalll to her.
Has anyone else experienced this and what was the outcome

I tend to take what they say about the babies size with a pinch of salt.. I had a scan which showed the baby was measuring absolutely fine yet when the midwife felt my tummy a few days later she said I was measuring behind and the baby felt small! With my last pregnancy every midwife then examined me told me I was going to have a huge baby because he felt so big but he was less than 8lb - they way they were talking I had prepared for a 10lber!

My bump measured on the 90th percentile but my growth scan shows her on the 50th percentile. Growth things are not accurate at all! My son they told me he was a 10lber he was 7lb 2. Even growth scans have a 20% margin of error but have been known to be much more than that out! So I wouldn't stress just smile and nod lol

The sonographer told me that growth scans can be a pound out either way and even midwives will acknowledge that measuring the bump is an inaccurate way of determining baby's size. I've been told I'm both pregnancies that my babies were going to be big and they were 6lb 3oz when born at 38 weeks and 7lb 8oz at 39+3 so I really wouldn't worry x
