Right I know I am a couple days early but I need time to work me head around this and make sense of it all!!

I dont understand these days things or even half this shortcuts you use but I think I am about to enter this world properly so need to learn! :D And were better to learn then with you lot!

we have not really been ttc (practicing whilst waiting is just as much fun!)
due to AF only just returning home, so heres a quick run down!

14th july .... implamon removed

8th August .... AF returns lasting 7 days

20th August .... one day light bleeding

23rd September (yesterday) .... AF back on track

Its back to what it used to be. every 6 weeks lasting roughly 5-7 days but heavy as fook!!!!!!

So what happens now, as I have a naff body that likes to do things different and most charts basing it on a 28 day cycle what do I do?!

Is the cycle worked out from the last day of AF or from the first? Any that is prob just one of many questions I know I am gonna end up asking!!!

Sorry to bother you all with this...But as soon as this AF finishes we will be officialy trying

Cycle day 1 is counted as the first day of af when in full flow not spotting. Have you thought about temping? I temp normally not been this cycle though  and I (like a lot of others) use fertility friend as well. I think the main thing people say is to relax easier said then done though.

Good Luck TTC and sending you babydust

Use ovulation kits. it normally tells u what day to start testing depending on the length of your cycle. mine lasts 33 days so i test on day 13 for example.
When it shows u a line or a smiling face in digitals. it means ur fertile for approx 2 days but could be less depending on each women. so u better try more around that time.
any more questions pm and welcome to ttc and good luck

Very best of luck with your trying to conceive hun, hope you get your BFP soon! :cheer:

thanks girls!

ok first hurdle ovulation wha what!!!!!!!!!?????!!

You see I have been flaffing it when people have mentioned it, yea yea I aint gonna admit Im clueless was me response!!!

My AF is full flow straight off, Im stuffed if Im out somewere!! When I got it before and I realised it had hit, I could be seen running like a mad women pocessed towards the nearest public loo, then running straght back out again to the nearest chemist when I realised I had left things at home!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL u really seem clueless.
I will try to help.
Ovulation tests are test to detect when u ovulate (u produce the egg to be fertelized by a sperm)
u can buy cheap once or more pricey.
these are the links to the known brands. u can buy them at ebay or amazon.http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/ov ... tests.html
http://www.clearblueeasy.com/index.php? ... homeevtest (surf this site and u'll find different kind including digital once my favourite )
u can also buy boots brand from boots.

any further questions just ask.
btw how old r u?

right so 2 weeks after the hell finishs totaly ravage my hubby everynight for 2 weeks then totally ignore him till the next AF is over? Now that sounds like fun!!!!!!!!!!

If you want too!
Do you know when you might ovulate? A 6 week cycle is going to be harder to pinpoint - I would say come join the chartstalker thread as they are good at explaining whats happening with your temps so you stand a better chance of catching the egg.
Some ovulate early and some late, I think I might be an early one so I base my cycle on week 1 - af - wk 2 - catching egg - wk 3 cells dividing - wk 4 implantation.

Hiya, and good luck with TTC! Hope you get your BFP really soon.

I thought I'd try to write a quick breakdown of the cycle for you to fill in the gaps - it's way more complicated than it should be!

Okay, you're born with all the eggs you'll ever have already stored in your ovaries, but they're not mature and so can't be fertilised. Every cycle one egg (or more that one - after all, that's how you get twins!) matures ready to be fertilised.

The day your AF comes is day one of your cycle. As soon as that starts your body knows it isn't pregnant and starts getting ready to try again. You begin releasing hormones which make an egg start to mature (the key hormone here is follicle stimulating hormone (FSH)). On average, it takes about 2 weeks for an egg to get ripe, but this is longer or shorter for different people. The time when your egg is maturing is called your "follicular phase" because the eggs grow from "follicles" (the same name as the tiny buds your hair grows from!). For you, this phase will probably be quite long, as your cycles are long.

When the egg is almost ready, the body releases a quick burst of a hormone called "luteinising hormone" (LH), which triggers the mature egg to be released from your ovary into your fallopian tube, which leads down to your womb. The moment the egg is released is called ovulation. LH is the only important hormone to remember, because it's the one that ovulation kits test for. You can test a urine sample for what they call your "LH surge". The levels of LH in your blood (and so in your urine too) shoots up and then come back down again over the course of a few hours and you're egg is released between 12 - 36 hours after that.

This is really good to know for timing TCC because although it takes ages for the egg to get ready, it only survives for about a day or even less after it's released and this is the only time in the month that you can get pregnant. Fortunately for us, the man's sperm is a bit more durable and can hang around for up to about 5 days waiting for an egg to appear, so if you don't BD the exact day you ovulate it isn't necessarily a disaster.

After the egg is released (whether it's fertilised or not) it takes around a week (5-12 days I think??) to trundle down the fallopian tube and reach your uterus. In the meantime your womb lining starts to bulk up, so the egg can implant in it. Once the egg reaches the womb, if you're lucky, it'll burrow into the lining and settle there for good! If not, the womb lining starts to break down and then you get another AF. The whole thing from ovulation to AF is called your "luteal phase" and it's almost always 14 days long, so if you know when you're AF is due and count back 14 days, that's about when you're going to ovulate and should be BDing as much as you can.

Now I've written that "quick explanation" it look a bit on the long side! Sorry if that's loads more than you wanted to know!

Lucy

thanks Lucy thats actually really interestin and is a huge help, I always did wonder how it works!!

Cant wait for this AF to finish so I can start counting! Never thought I would be one to be er obsessed and countin things etc but oh well here I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
