Hi,
We have a two year old female cat who is wormed regularly. She has started raiding the public bin outside our house which is very embarrassing as everyone knows she's ours. I'm scared someone will report us. Its things like curry, bread etc. This is becoming more and more stressful everyday & the last thing I need. Any advice?

I think its probably normal I'm afraid, cats are scavengers. If bin bags are left out our cats will tear them open. Can you not secure the public bin some how, if it has no lid what about a net or something x

Our boy cats don't do it which confuses me. Xx

I really wouldn't worry about what neighbours think, cats ate very independent and they've nothing o report you for! Xx

Your not responsible for what your cat does by law - mainly because you have zero control over the little buggers. If anyone knows how to stop them doing irritating things I'd LOVE to know!!!! X

I'm afraid she's just doing what comes naturally. My tomcat will attack my rubbish bags even when they're in the house and despite being yelled at he'll still do it. Not only are they scavengers but also hunters they'll seek out food at anytime. It doesn't matter how well they're fed. Don't worry as long as your cat doesn't look undernourished even if there is a call noone will do anything and to be hinest I doubt it there will a call.
