Bit of a specific query but someone may have the answer so here goes!

I am a nurse.

My plan is to keep working in my current post until November when I'll take mat leave.

I want to move back to Norfolk to be close to my family so I wondering if its possible for me to transfer my contract to the hospital in Norwich?

I have a feeling that I will lose my mat pay if I do this and can't just transfer it to a different trust.

I hope that makes sense!

Any advice or suggestions is much appreciated.

I'm kind of worried to mention it to my ward sister atm incase she thinks I'm being cheeky and am going to let her down or upset her funds.

Me!
I'm sure as long as it's continuous service you'll be ok. I left one trust whilst on mat leave and got a job at another trust. My new trust just took off where I left off and hr dealt with the arrangements of my mat pay x

Thats good to know, thanks Cosmicgirl!

If I can do that then my plans for the future will hopefully run a bit more smoothly.

Thanks again and good luck!

x x

YAY!!! Come back to Norfolk!!

yeah you can swap trusts as long as u keep working for the nhs for a minimum of three months on ur return to work then it wont affect ur maternity pay. x
