Hi girls

So dd is 5 and my son is 18m and I am pregnant with our third.. I’m wondering mums of three..how is life for you? My son will be pretty much exactly 2 when this one is born and although he is totally amazing he really can be high maintenance. Has anyone experienced similar? What are your age gaps? My dd is so helpful and kind and a wonderful big sister, I’m just hoping some of you can share your stories .

Would love to hear about your family dynamics please!

Thank you xx

Mine are 5, 3 and 12 weeks. (I had a 2y age gap between babies one and two)

I won't lie, it's hard bloody work, but my 3rd does have a genetic condition which means she has additional health needs [she is tube fed and has been since birth]. Even without the condition it would be hard work.

That said, I find timing is key. I can manage to get them all fed and dressed and out the door for the school run x5 days a week. So it's not unmanageable.... I don't get much time to myself and I am always on the go, *but* I wouldn't change a thing.

X

How is little Edith Carnat? Do you know what genetic condition she has? Sounds like you are doing a great job managing :)

Mine are 8, 3.5 and 15 weeks. Life is constantly hectic but we are slowly getting there with a routine! I’ve done bedtime for all 3 tonight for only the 3rd time as hubby is working late which means it’s been non stop from the school run (tea, bath, stories etc) until now. I find I literally have no time to myself as someone always needs something!! But I’m loving it at the same time

Mine are almost 5, 3 and 1. I've had just under two years between each. They play together a lot now which is lovely. As others have mentioned I think the biggest think is that someone always needs something. With two it was hard work but there were still quiet moments in the day. Now I am always on the go. Honestly I even enjoy the being busy part. Just sometimes when I don't feel well or something it's really wearing not getting a break.

Mine are nearly 4, nearly 3, and 8 months, and I'm finding it really hard. My youngest still feeds in the night, my middle is failure to thrive due to be consistently let down by health professionals who failed to spot signs and ignored me, and my eldest is waiting for an autism assessment.

But it's slowly getting easier :)
