I phoned around about scrapping the car and I'm not goig to get any money for it that way. One bloke wanted me to pay £30 to tow it away then another said he'd pick it up for free but not paying for scrap metal at the moment.

I will put it on Ebay if nothing else works out but first I am going to post it on Gumtree- the car is pretty much perfect- the interior etc is all fine. On ebay the cars for salvage seem to be going for quite a bit

How much should I be asking for it?

let me know all the details of the car age make and whats wrong with it and i will ask my OH he sells on ebay and is good with cars so he will give u an idea of what to sell it for

I would put it in the Exchange and Mart as people looking for salvage stuff would probably look in there first.

1996 Fiat Punto 1.1 (3 Door) in Black. .

Has only done 31k since new. Had a new exhaust system fitted in Feb 2008

Car was written off in June 2008 due to damage shown in photos.

Interior is in mint condition.

you wont get much for it tbh, that damage looks like its been structural which means a few hundred quids worth of jig work to straight it if it is, then the replacement of the arch which would be another few hundred to have the old one cut out and the new one spot welded in + paint. Unfortunately theres no value in cars at all at the moment, so even if the car didnt have the damage i dont know anyone that'd pay over say £500-600 for it, and thats only given the low mileage and the fact its black
