any ladies with or had ovarian cyst?

Hi ladies, has anyone had or have an ovarian cyst?

been ttc for about 14 months now. Cyst about 4-5cm was found on my right ovary in December after scan due to slight pain in the area. After being referred to hospital to see gynaecologist had blood, urine tests, swabs and scan was told they were going to leave it alone and not remove it so discharged me from the hospital. Doctor said it would not give me any problems ttc but another 3 months on still no luck and still get slight pain in the area. Anyone got any success stories or in similar situation?

Hi Vegas,

I had investigations last year after Ttc for approx the same time and they found a small cyst on my right ovary. They didn't seem too concerned and didn't think it should have affected ability to conceive. Anyway I have just completed my first cycle of ivf for unexplained infertility.in which they decided to drain the cyst whilst I was sedated for egg retrieval. Just got BFP 3 days ago!!

I have read on here before that other have had cysts and have conceived naturally!!!!

Hi, I had an ovarian cyst and managed to conceive with it I ended up losing the baby but it wasnt to do with the cyst. It had grown a lot a few months after that so I had it removed in the end but it shouldnt affect ttc at all xx

Hi, I had a ovarian cyst last year, measured 7cm and I had to have it drained. Think they rake action if it is bigger than 5cm. My best friend has one at 4.5cm which was spotted when she was pregnant and still has it, causes no issues xx

Yeah they said they wouldn't wanna start messing around with doing unnecessary action, cant help but think it's giving me issues though, dunno if I'm being paranoid ha ha

When I did my first IVF cycle they found a huge cyst on one of my ovaries and i was devastated as was told id probably have my cycle cancelled. They decided to go on regardless and so happy they did - got my BFP and here I am 22 weeks pregnant!

Hi I suffer feom ovarian cysts. In 2007 I actually had a cyst surgically removed due to high risk of ovarian cancer. Unfortunately they couldnt save my right ovary as the cyst had grown and attached itself to my fallopian tube so part of that was removed too. I was told it was inbetween the size of a golf ball/tennis ball so rather large!
I do suffer cysts on my only ovary but they get measured regularly due to previous surgery and so far none have grown to point anything needs done. I do suffer from haemorrhagic ovarian cysts too which are awfully painful.
I have managed to conceive our DD after 16months of trying due to me not ovulating thanks to the missing ovary and im currently 13weeks pregnant . As well as my problems my OH has a low sperm count so odds where really against us so im a firm believer in if its meant to be it will be .

Awww congratulations guys! That's great news. Do any of yous get any symptoms from the cysts?
