Aurora I've had external scans at 6+5 and 8+5 in previous pregnancies and seen really clear baby and heartbeat on both, the 8+5 was like a proper baby except with no arms and legs lol but you could make out the head and body. Like a little jellybaby so I'm surprised they have said it will be internal, they should be able to see lots on a tummy scan at 9 weeks plus xx

I'll be exactly 7 weeks this Friday when I have my scan. Just praying all is ok!

hello hello!! please count me in☺ due date is 30 July and very excited!! my first pregnancy and I know just a little bit about procedures as I am new in here. Have a gp appointment on next Wednesday and have very rough ideas on what to ask & what to do. Feel like a bit lost. Do you have any advice? a book, a website apart from NHS? It is very nice to be here, thanks a lot!!

Welcome Serena! My first too. My GP appointment was very brief but I did need to remind him about the flu jab (which he gave me there and then). I also did a urine test for them to confirm - I called in for results the next day.

I've enjoyed reading What To Expect When You're Expecting. I also love the Pregnancy+ app

Congratulations Serena! When I first went to my gp all they said was "congratulations, here's the midwives number" was a bit disappointing really.
Haven't read any books, just mainly been on here and two apps called ovia pregnancy and the bump, the bump has a 3d interactive bit to show baby each week and key points on what's happening, it's amazing ♡ xx

Absolutely bricking mine today, hardly slept last night so I think either way I'm going to be extra emotional. Managed to get one of my best friends to come with me as bf doesn't think he'll be able to get out of work xx

I was the same last night hardly slept. Was freezng cold so that didnt help but our boiler has broke so couldn't even warm up.

So relieved! Everything's ok �� nurse said I may just be one of the unlucky ones that bleed and get pains now and then. Put me back a bit to 7weeks 5days at the moment but she said that could change again at my main scan.

Got so emotional when I saw bubba was ok, both my friend and I cried our eyes out. Then the lady said can you see the heartbeat? I was like nooooo crying again feeling bad cos I couldn't make it out, but she pointed it out and saw it as soon as her finger was on it. Never felt such love/relief/emotion all at once. Makes it feel way more real now Xxx

So please for you.
I measured spot on for my dates. Was told i may bleed again as there is blood on my cervix but its nothing to do with baby.
I've tried to attach a pic but dont know if it will work

Amazing how much they change in just a few weeks.

Anyone else absolutely shattered? Did my Xmas shopping yesterday and today, now feel like I could sleep until Xmas! Zzzz
Also why is there never enough toilets in town centres when you need one?! Took over half an hour to find one yesterday!

I finish work early on a Friday so came in and had an hour in bed last night lol. My tiredness comes and goes so when I don't feel tired I try and make myself do stuff so I don't feel as bad on the days I can't lol

I was absolutely exhausted with my first 2 pregnancies until 16 weeks, i used to fall asleep on the sofa at 6pm after work, wake up for tea that my hubby had cooked then be back in bed for the night at 8pm! I'm not tired at all with this pregnancy which is actually convincing me there's something wrong although maybe im just used to being tired with a 1 year okd and 4 year old that I don't notice anymore lol xx

Hello ladies sorry I've not posted getting myself all in a tizz here and I started bleeding this morning it's only light but the back pain and tummy cramps on and off have made me think the worst our EPU are only open Monday til Friday here and is by referral only so looks like a trip to drs for me on Monday as if I went A +E they would only do referral anyway not holding out much hope I'm afraid I'm just hoping it's a break through bleed as I believe my AF might have been due around now x

Aw bless you, how far along are you? Bleeding is always scary but can be normal. I've had bleeding in first trimester in 2 pregnancies, 1 sadly did end in MC a couple of days later but the other one resulted in my happy healthy 4 year old son so it definitely doesn't always mean the worst. It always happens on a flipping weekend doesn't it, both mine did too. Try to rest as much as poss hun and straight onto the EPU Monday morning and they will check you. Good luck hun xxx

Thanks huni I'm about 6 weeks and never experienced this with any of my previous pregnancies so I've been worrying myself half to death about it but I'm resting up on the sofa and will be getting on to doctors first thing Monday and yes typical that this has happened over the weekend calmed myself down and a huge cuddle of eldest DD (she's eight) trying not to work myself up xx
