As the title suggests.. are there any first time mummies in the military?

Just wondering when you informed work of your pregnancy, being at Sea is a big no no and only 4 weeks I feel reluctant to go to the doctors.

hey, I am in the police so quite a bit different, but for the safety of the baby we have to tell them straight away, so we can get taken off uniformed duty. Cant be going out grappling with members of the public when pregnant.

argh, imagine being at sea with morning sickness!? I would tell them soon as, if something went wrong you would want to be onshore? x

hello lynds!
Your right can't imagine you'd be wanting to chase after society with a big bump hehe
I have made an appointment for a week Tuesday (tomorrow) but I might call and make it earlier. Being at sea can be bad enough without having to cope with morning sickness, we can opt to stay on ship until 12 weeks but I definitely don't want that!! ergh...

Hello! I'm new to this forum and a first time military mum (RAF) :) I am also 5 weeks and I told my line manager yesterday. I know its very early but I would rather they knew so that I didn't get put on anything at work that could put us at risk, and they won't be telling anyone else.

Hey sky! Congratualtions! Ive seen the doctor and let them know and I have now been downgraded so no sea for me anymore which is a releif! I see my line manger on Monday as they're not in so will see how that goes :) x
