Hi ladies, I was just looking for some advice or if anyone has experienced the same?

I find myself going into a bit of panic or anxiety when I think about taking bubba out, I can't bring myself to drive either, the thought of getting in the car with her and me driving makes me feel sick to the stomach! I can't even tell you why, i worry because I can't sit in the back with her and make sure she's alright :/
My OH doesn't drive so I'm the only one who can drive us about when my parents aren't here!
Even just writing this my heart has started to beat a lil faster :/
We're meant to be taking her to my OH's parents house tomorrow which is only a half hour drive but I don't think I can do it :/

I'm not sure if I'm expecting to do too much at just a week old but I'm worried if I leave it it will turn into something more sinister :(

Anyone else experience the same? Xxx

I didn't have anxiety over driving but I did over overheating him. Other mums had their babies in snowsuits and I would just have Cam in a cardi and the first time I put him in a sleeping bag overnight was horrendous! I'm over it now but it was a real issue to start with. I wrote about it a fair bit in my parenting journal.

It is a nerve wracking time being a new mum so just do what you can to feel comfortable. Why not just try a drive for five minutes initially just round the block or something and see how you feel? Or even just sit in the car to start with and not go anywhere. You can get mirrors that you can attach to the back seat so you can see baby from the drivers seat while you are driving. Maybe one of those will help?

Defo get a mirror that goes in the back so u cam see them hun really helped me I hated not seeing Harry but u do relax a bit the older they get u tend to worry about everything at first.

Thank you for the advice ladies, I am going to invest in one of those mirrors for sure, I spoke to hubby about driving down to his parents today and that I just don't think I can and he sort of understands but is clearly upset about it. I do feel terrible and I don't want his parents to think I'm avoiding them but is just can't help getting upset about it and the thought of being in a totally different environment for a long ammount of time when me and Isabelle don't have a set routine yet and I don't feel confident yet!
Thank you again ladies :) xxx
