i was just re-reading through my 20 weeks can notes and they said i had an anterior placenta but its not low
i was wondering what this meant haha as it want explained to me and i was kinda rushed out as maternity was quite busy that day due to the snow!

It means your placenta is on the front wall of your uterus and that it is away from your cervix - all totally normal. Posterior is on the back wall. A low lying placenta is monitored to see that it moves upwards away from the opening to the cervix, which they often do. If they stay low lying and covering the cervix they may consider a c section to avoid bleeding or the cervix becoming detached :)

ahh thank you i was just a bit miffed as i couldnt find anything in my pregnancy book about it! :D
