another weaning question.

Im not sure how to put this but if your baby was premature do you wean at the same age you would if it was born at the correct time, and if you were overdue same question, ie say you were a month early would you wait a month longer and if say 2 weeks late does it mean baby would be ok to start at 3 and half months etc

Just to add im in no rush to wean and will do it when i feel Levi is good and ready but i will say my eldest son started weaning at 3 months as that was recommended back then (20 yrs ago).

I was worried about this as jack was 4 weeks early! my HV told me to go from the day he was actually born and the only time to go by the prem age is when they are really early!!

ava was 6 weeks early and after asking on the forum i aslo checked with HV who said go by actual age rather than corrected age

Dan was born exactly 4 weeks early. I was told by my HV that unless very prem there is no need to adjust weaning guidelines.
