Sorry first time mummy so have lots of questions!

Little one is 4 weeks today and feeds are still averaging an hour-hour and a half in length (both boobs offered and change/burping in between).... Just wondering when should feeds start to get shorter in length? I don't mind just wondered when to expect them to get quicker. It will make it easier for going out and about (still yet to brave this) if feeds are quicker! At the moment I'm too scared to really venture anywhere other than a short walk as am scared he will start crying for food.

Still not good at discrete feeding yet so not ready for public yet!

Hi hun, well done for keeping at it! Unfortunately feeds may never get any quicker, it totally depends of your flow and also on baby. I have slow flow so my feeds still last up to an hour for both breasts. I know others who after milk was fully established (around 8weeks) they could feed in 5 mins! You'll get to know when they've finished feeding and just sucking for comfort, so then you can just take them off if they don't come off naturally. So it may change after about 8 weeks, but don't feel too disheartened if it doesn't. Xxx

My lo is almost 10 weeks and he can still do hour long feeds. If we go out, he tends to do 10-15 mins max because there's too much other interesting stuff going on that he wants to have a nose at!!!

My lo fed for long periods even when I started weaning. Now she feeds for 5 minutes if I'm lucky x
