We aren't doing brilliantly at night at the moment. We have bath bottle bed and E normally goes down at 8 til 12/1ish but after that she can be up every two hours, and even when she's not actually up she lies in her crib grumbling and moaning (although appears to be asleep?!). I think there are a few reasons, she doesn't always wake up enough to eat enough to keep her going at the 1am feed and sometimes no matter how hard I try she doesn't bring much wind up. I also still maintain that her crib mattress is bloody uncomfy despite my best efforts to pad it out a bit!

I want to try her in her cot this week but feel bad as she's only 9 weeks. She would only be 5ft away from me in the room next door and we have an angelcare monitor. I also have to get up as I ff so it isn't like I just wake up and plug in so I don't mind the walk to the next room. And also (this is the selfish part!!) I'd love my hubby to be able to move back in to our room - he snores horrendously and was waking LO up which was then waking me up so we were all up! I was thinking that we could give it a try and if it didn't work out then we could move her back in.

I think she would be more comfortable in her cot as it is more comfy and we wouldn't be waking eachother up all night. And of course she could still come in our bed for 5am cuddles!! Think I just want reassurance that I'm not a bad mum for wanting to try this... Anyone else done it this eatly and found it worked for them?

If you think she'd be more comfortable in her cot then go for it! You're not a bad mummy for wanting to do what's right for your baby!

Of course you're not a bad mum. You have to do what's right for all of you!!

My best friend moves her LO into his room at 3 weeks cos they all kept each other awake

Give it a go and see how you feel and how Evie does. If she doesn't like it just move her back xx

I put my little one in her cot for the first time last night and she is 8 weeks old. She is too big for her Moses basket now. It was a great success she probably had the best nights sleep so far. She looked so much more comfortable as she could spread out more and she slept from 8 til 12 had a feed and then slept til 6. I would say give it a go!x

You aren't a bad mummy hun. You gotta do what you gotta do!

I don't believe she will suffer from being in her cot and if it means you can have a good nights sleep then you'll be better equipped to look after her in the daytime :)

I also get that strange grunting in the early hours. I think it's because they don't go into a deep sleep after 3am or something, I read it in a book. It's a reet bummer!

Alyssa has been in her cot from 6 weeks cos she needed the space but we put it into our room as we havent got a monitor yet (ordered it tho) and she loves the room to move her arms about, literally as soon as i put her down she throws her arms up then back down over the blanket but out to the sides lol

My OH snores really badly and Albert gets really annoyed with him :D. If we had a spare room one of them would be in it....or I would cos either way I wouldn't sleep properly lol. There's no harm in giving it a try chick! xxxxxxxxx

Hunni Stanley went in his own cut at 6 weeks and in with his big brother at 10 weeks! He outgrew his moses basket so quickly and used to wake himself up with his long arms bashing in the sides lol xx

You're not a bad mummy. If you feel comfortable doing it then go for it x
