(I just wrote out the longest most detailed birth story only for my laptop to switch off and i lost it!! So being as my baby needs feeding this will be a quicker version now im afraid)....
Our beautiful baby was born via c sec on 26.07.2010.
I arrived for my scheduled c sec because the baby was lying transverse. we were meant to go down at 9am but after 2 emergencies needing to go in before me i had to wait until 1pm, which felt like a lifetime!!
The section went well, the team who looked afer me were really nice and one was very funny so i was laughing right up until after the epidural injection.
The injection wasnt too bad, very uncomfortable and odd going in but no real pain. and it worked fabulously because other than prodding and pressure i felt nothing - no pain whatsoever.
The one side effect i got was the shivering (though not cold) it was odd but ok, slighlty scary, and i felt a bit sick so they kept giving me anti sickness injections.
After laying shaking and worrying that she wasnt going to be ok, and hoping time would hurry up, i could finally hear my baby crying!! I saw her being passed to the midwives and couldnt believe she was actually there, an actual baby had just come out of me, it was like it only just hit me somehow! They passed her to me after checking her over and she stared up at me with the biggest lovliest eyes ever. She weighed 7lb13! we were surprised as she was just 39 weeks.
She is the most perfect little thing i have ever seen and a hundred times better than i even imagined she would be. I am loving having her home after 5 days in hospital (she was jaundiced and went under the lights for 24 hours but ok now). she is whaqt i think is an easy baby as as long as she is well fed (she has such a big appetite) she doesnt really cry! she goes to sleep in her moses basket or even her big cot and i just cant stop staring at her and kissing her!!
