Am I in the wrong

OH and MIL want me to go to hers for dinner on Thursday night after my sweep!

Am I wrong in not wanting to just incase? My OH has taken it as a personal attack on his mum trying to guilt me saying things like 'she thinks you don't like going over there and you don't like her!' grrr!

I'd want to be at home tbh in my own comfort incase things got started :/ but can you not compromise with OH and make sure that your home a bit earlier so you can relax if he's pulling a face that you should go? X

Well my appts at about 2 and dinner would be around 6ish! I don't see why we can't go on Wednesday?

I don't think your in the wrong!! I'd feel the same you're obviously going to want to be where your most comfortable incase something starts to happen x

Call her and ask if you can move it to wednesday as you have a sweep and you may be uncomfortable/ things starting off... if she is reasonable then she should understand and maybe if you explain yourself she will realise its not about liking her or not xx

I wouldn't go or care what anyone else might think! There's nothing wrong with being focused on yourself and baby at this time instead of other people and what paranoid thoughts they might get.

We've talked and he's agreed that we'll go tomorrow instead and he just told her on the phone it's because of my sweep. She seemed ok with it and think he's realised why too. Thank god!! Could you imagine sitting there around the whole of his family and my waters going

I think its extremely good of you to go at all! Having his whole family around you right now sounds a nightmare any night, because quite frankly you could go at any time! Tonight, tomorrow or after sweep, all just as likely. I hope he's grateful, because I have put my foot down and refused to socialise with anyone this week

I mean i guess you cant stay shut in the house in case ur waters go (although i may have change my mind about that when im at ur stage lol) - but right after a sweep your bound to be nervous. xxx

Tbh I'd rather be around strangers or at home iykwim! I've been going out and keeping busy normally but after my sweep I wanna get bouncing!

I can't believe your OH actually acted like that! Bloody men Ey! Think they should have a week of pregnancy just to see how exhausting it is! Glad you have compromised though x

oh your so not in the wrong not a hope id want to be in any oone elses house or evenhave anyone else in mine when waiting to see if sweep worked
