Am I in labour?????

HELP PLEASE!!!!

I woke up this morning around 4.30am and experienced regular, sharp pains low down in my tummy and around my back. They continued every 8 minutes until about 9am this morning. Each 'contraction' lasting for about 50 seconds. However as soon as I got up, had a bath etc they have become really inconsistent; ranging from every 4 minutes to every 10 or even 11 minutes.

Hospital have just said stay at home, relax and wait until they get into a rhythmic pattern. Has anyone experienced something similar?

sounds like it could be the start! i'd just keep going about your usual daily stuff, maybe scrub the kitchen floor on your hands and knees and do lots of stairs!

Oooh sounds like it could be somethong! Try anf go about what you normally do! Mine weren regulart and was in pain every evening but not during the day and when I went to hosp (only because my waters started to break slightly) that they realised I was 5cms xxx
