I started working for my company in April 2008, so I've been there for 6 years in a few weeks time. By the time I expect to go on maternity leave I'll have done over 7.5 years. But, this would be my 3rd lot of maternity leave! And I take the full year, plus holidays - both times so far I've had 14 months off  Is it really bad to be doing it again? Do you think they will think I'm taking the piss?

TBH the government pays your maternity leave so I don't think they will be too bothered really. And if that's the maternity deal they offer then they mustn't be bothered.

I am with Redbear on this one. It is your right to have babies and the company pays you nothing really. Companies usually suck us dry and work us to the ground so this is the least they can do for us working women. Sorry I am a bit bitchy :afalert: but I do mean it.

Also in the great scheme of things having bambinos is so much more important than having an extra bit of time off work. I always think...what are beautiful memories made of?..it's time spent with your family, friends, holidays, etc...it really isn't time spent at work -that all merges into one work memory, which is just a part bit. You're entitled to as many mat leaves as you want :D my ex colleague has 5 boys so she has spent more time off than at work haha good on her I say we just call her super mum!

My mat pay is enhanced, but they don't specify and say it's for 2 babies only or anything. I won't worry about it any more! I can afford to clothe and feed my babies, and I have enough love to give to them so that's all that matter!
