Kynon loves his bath but getting him out is a massive battle every night. Soon as he's out he screams until he's dried and dressed! He fights against me putting his nappy on so we often get night leaks as it not on right where he won't stay still. He makes himself cough he's crying so much. I've tried distraction methods, singing nursery rhymes but he won't calm down.
Anyone else have this issue? Do they grow out of it soon?

Hannah was like this......she is a lot better now thank to 'In the Night Garden' we wrap her in a towel and she watches this for 10 mins...then we get her dressed (screams for this bit) and then make sure we have bottle ready straight away.

we also started giving her a small feed before bath so she wasnt starving getting out of the bath xx

have you tried to make it really warm in the room when you get him out and changed? max used to cry after all the time but doesnt anymore (unless hes hungry) as i make sure its hot in the room xxxxxxx

Angel can get fussy after a bath she doesn't scream but she does cry and gets upset :( xx

Yes, we have this too. I'm sure its because LO feels cold when getting out of the bath. We try to have the room fairly warm, but there's still that drop in temperature compared with the warm bath water. She gets over it within five mins or so though.

Tyler's always been pretty good but we have this new thing where I stand him upright in the bath (holding on to him of course) he grabs the side beaming looking around for someone to show what he's doing lol!

Its quite warm and if i just sit him there without the towel he don't moan so I know he's not cold! Think he just hates having his nappy and clothes put back on. He flips from being really smiley and chatting to screaming! Think he just likes the bath!

I have silmilar issues. When changing Kayden's nappy or getting him changed or anything like that, he just wont stay still, he wriggles all over the place, I was actually gona post if anyone knows how to get them still, only option i think is to change in his buggy so he cant flip over

Kayden doesn't cry after his bath but he does cry when I try & get him changed, if my eldest LO is there the distraction helps, but its hard when your by yourself trying to entertain & get them changed!!

xxxxxxxx

lol were the opposite, Alyssa screams from the minute she touches the water until shes dressed

Toys or used shampoo bottles (his favourite) sometimes work for a minute, but they are just so wriggly and don't stay still anymore, Im sure dd wasn't as wriggly or maybe I've just forgotten!

Jack does this. I think they don't like the sensation of being taken out of a warm bath into the cold. Usually he calms down when hes dressed but i find myself rushing to get him dry and get his nappy on, so bathtime is never a very relaxing time for either of us!

x

Well tonight i worked out its because he has to stay still while he's dried and lay down but rolling about and touching the toilet or anything else he can reach is much more fun! He must like the cold tile floor or something!

Yep Will is the same and it is when we put his clothes on and nappy, he goes ballistic! Cure? - daddy does the changing while mummy stands in front singing, dancing and generally acting like a performing monkey

Lol x

Problem solved! I gave him his baby tooth brush and if was well happy with that!
