Bath Time

theo has always loved the bath, we bathed him for 2 day old and he's always been so chilled out in the water, kicking and splashing around, i love bath times.
however for the past 2weeks every time i put theo in the bath (he has a lay-out fabric bath support. babies'r'us) he screams blue murder untill i get him out the bath, however if i hold him to he is sitting up he is fine and loves it. lastnight i sat his bumbo in some shallow water and continually plashed water over him and he was fine. (but i was worried about him getting cold) as he was not in the water.

so my question is... any idea??? i have looked at "sitting up" bath supports and they all day from 6 months, theo has always been very strong and is big for his age, he can hold his head well ect ect.. but is not 6 months!! what bath supports do you use? (intrest for the near future)

im sure its just a phase hes going through and becoming more aware, but its such a shame as i know he loves the bath. and i love giving him bath.... just not when hes screaming the place down! haha

maybe he doesnt feel stable in it now he's bigger.

We have a sponge that india lays on, it is kinda shaped so you know where the head goes etc. she LOVES baths.

tbh, if you think he's strong enough for it, id go with your instincts and get a sitting thing, its not like your ever going to leave him unattended!!!

We use a washing up tub and put a old rag or towel so its not too slippery and a ground sheet on the floor. Then she can be bathed in the sitting room where its warm she loves her baths now

If your worried about the age thing then maybe get the support you like and try him in it, if he doesnt suit it then hold out till he is the right age.
