I've just been browsing the net and found a thread on which lots of women have said that they conceived having BD the day after AF stopped.

Has this happened to any of you mummy's??

Very exciting news for us ttc lot! Proves anything is possible!

ok.. i'm not 100% sure but...

In Dec i had AF at beginning of Dec, and then found out i was preg on 16th December i had m/c.. i had always done preg tests tho, and it was the 1st one i got bk, at the time i thought i had just ovulated.. so i'm a little confused.. i either got preg straight after AF.. or AF was my m/c... sorry if this is confusing.. to this day i dont know.. but i personally think i got preg after AF.. as i had bleeding after m/c. and not before.. also the preg tests didnt come bk until 16th..?? xxx hope this helps xx

It depends on what day you ovulate.

In theory it's possible if you have short cycles or a long LP then you could OV 4 - 5 days after your AF. Sperm can survive in your body for 4 - 5 days so yes it's possible if you BD the day after you AF and the sperm survives long enough then when your egg is released those few days later then the spermies would be ready and waiting.

I didn't ov until 8 days after my af had finished so i wouldn't have been able to do that as all the spermies would be long gone by the time my egg was released.

The best shot you have of getting pg is if you bd within 48 hours either side of your OV day as the spermies are more likely to be fresh and will reach your egg in tip top condition.

hope this helps a bit
