About an hour ago I was lying on the sofa nearly doubled over in pain from my tummy. I think it was from needing to do a number 2 (tmi) but I haven't been suffering from constipation. Went to the toilet and not much came out but tummy was quite sore. The only way to describe it is if you've ever taken laxatives and they kick in and it's really painful when the bowel contracts and the pain comes in waves. Anyway that's stopped but now back and lower Tummy are sore although I'm not doubled over. Should I be worried about this pain? Would love to have a bath but I only have a shower in the new house.
Oh and my bump was going tight too is that Braxton hicks?
Sorry to sound like such a worrier! Lol

Yeah I was thinking that but don't want to sound daft lol. Just can't see how I could be constipated if I went twice yesterday (sorry TMI)

Sounds similar to what 've had in the past but would get in contact with your MW just to be on the safe side xx

Do you think it'll be ok to leave it till tomorrow? I think they might have community midwives on at night, not sure though.

Yeah best to ring someone but constipation in pregnancy can be really awful. My poo is rarely normal these days lol

If you're not to worried then yeah, i didn't get in contact and was fine but it could be different. xx

Tried calling the midwife but no answer. I have the labour ward no, are you allowed to call them? Hmmmm I am a bit worried and it's probably nothing.

Just stood at the phone but didn't dial, feel pretty daft. Still a bit sore from back right round to lower abdomen. But if I don't call I'm not sure if I'll sleep. Hmmmm so confusing!

I called and they put me through to another ward. Been told to get a hot water bottle, couple of paracetamol and rest and not to hesitate to call if things get worse.
The woman was really nice though :)

Oh i don't have any advice but i hope your ok and maybe speak to your midwife xxx

how you feeling now, alot of women actually go into hospital thinking they are in labour with constipation or even trapped wind, and midwives prefer that than you staying at home in labour. i always say if in doubt get checked out, 9 times out of 10 hte midwives are lovely and just make you feel at ease.

Thanks girls :)
Feeling alot better today and managed to "go" this morning lol. Yeah the midwife I spoke to said it's always better to check.

I know how you feel hun as my meds messed my tummy up for a while I'd get bad cramps like I had IBS and had to GO lol if you get me ....

Hopefully your tummy stays abit more regular now x

I seem to store mine up for days lol then bang on lo for a couple of days to soft mush :S (Sorry if TMI)

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better pinkymum x

Thanks again,
I was going regular till yesterday on fact I was going more than I did before I got pg.
sore again tonight but not doubled over, it's my back and lower abdomen. I've run out of paracetamol so I've been using a hot water bottle but making sure it's not too hot. Really uncomfortable though :/ will speak to midwife when I see her next monday, can't be bothered with the long trip to see the doc. Now that I've moved I'll need to change surgeries.
Anyone else getting a sore back?
