Hi ladies,

I'm 33+6 with my first, and at my 32 week check, baby was head down and 3/5 into my pelvis. Around 33weeks, I saw mw at the hospital due to having mild period pains and feeling like baby's head was drilling right down and was feeling quite painful! She didn't really do much in the sense of checking anything and pretty much just had a chat, but listened quickly on the Doppler and said it was probably braxton hicks, advised paracetamol, baths, hot water bottle etc.

However today, I've felt like I've got a constant dull mild-ish ache in the bottom of my back, very similar to the sickly ache I get when I'm on a period. Is this still likely to be the same thing or is it worth calling mw again? I feel like I'm constantly in there at the moment and beginning to get fed up of travelling there for no reason..! Baby's movements etc are all fine, so no worries there.

Thanks!

As long as babies movements are fine, then there's no need to call them unless you are concerned. Those aches and pains are totally normal, especially as baby is so low and putting pressure on your lady bits, hips, spine and bowel. I've had similar pains and learnt now with baby number 3 that it's normal and doesn't mean that baby is on it's way. You'll know when it is!

My aches and pains have increased a lot this last week too, lots of dull lower back backs and also lots of pelvic & hip pain, I've just been assuming it's all normal.. If your worried and it will put your mind and rest then call them but it all sounds very normal :) xx

Thank you ladies! It went away after some paracetamol and baby decided it was great fun to do some more drilling haha! Can't wait to finally have baby here!! Your words are very reassuring, thank you!
