Advice needed asap please..

Sorry I can't help with that maybe mummy as gracie is very hit and miss with it, she's been sick after a few feeds but its not half as bad as its been so just going with it, is it still just as bad with your Lo? xx

So glad it's working hun! m-baby how long has ur LO been on it? It may take a while to clear it up.. Try winding after every oz if u can.. (if you haven't tried already) that always helped Ellie keep her milk down for some reason..

We always do give her a good wind sometimes without sucess though, shes been on it since Monday afternoon. Sickness is getting slightly better but shes permentantly wearing a bib and plenty of changing of tops!

Also the poops are starting to go harder like play doh we are on comfort food so was hoping it would counter act it but not doing too good so will keep trying with water, someone told me if they get constipated to put some sugar in her water?! X

I've read that a teaspoon of Orange juice with water helps but it has to be pure, not from concentrate as some Orange juices are. Not sure how many oz of water you're supposed to mix it with but I'll check my book. Gracie's poos have gotten a lot thicker too, like paste, so I think that's from the gaviscon xx

Very small (just enough to change the colour of the water slightly) amount of brown sugar in water.. Only try things for constipation as a last resort it can do more damage than good sometimes.. Keep trying with water.. Every time lily drank water she would poo so that's all she needed and she didn't poo for ten days.. Try making the water as warm as the milk u give.. Also try giving water to her when she's hungry she will be more likely to take some :)

She may just be a sicky baby :(

How are you getting on Danti? The poops are a lot thicker and yellower?!

She is getting better but I think she should be on two packets now as she is just over 10lbs I dont think I have enough Gaviscon to see me over the bank holiday weekend though hmmm.....

Just had a look now and they say to give 1 teaspoon to 1oz of water, but that's for 3months+ and not to do it regular as oj is very acidic and can be harsh on their little tummys :/

Are her poos still soft? As they say a constipated babies poos are small hard lumps.. so if they are still soft I'd stick to just water.

We're getting on well thanks, had a few sicky moments last night and today but I think that was down to her comfort feeding as she did an almighty paste-y poo (that was very yellow and thick!) And I don't think she's got it all out yet :S so going to try some water myself when she wakes from her nap.

I was thinking the same about running out, how do you go about getting some more? Have you got a repeat prescription? xx

B has has playdoh poo too xx

We had to put Joshua on aptamil comfort milk with the gaviscon and it helped amazingly with his constipation!!

I would NEVER give a baby any sugar!! Just like I wouldn't salt! Could do more harm than good!! Stick to water!
