Advent Calenders!

If anyone is getting a choccy calender for their kids this year I found an amazing one! We went into Thorntons for the first time in years the other day and they have advent calenders where they will put a name on it. Aaron has one and it looks gorgeous. Am so pleased with it! His first advent calender and it's personalised yay

Yeah they are quite pricey at £2.99 a go. I'm used to buying the 3 for a fiver calenders

You can get a normal size calender for £2.99 with a name on or there are large ones wit reindeer chocolates in and a name for £4.99.

Braydon has got a Cars one he kinda took it of the shelf in the shop so picked it himself

My mum has always brought us our Advent Calenders so don't know which ones we've got yet

That settles it I'm getting 2 of those!

I ALWAYS have to have Father Christmas on any advent calendars I buy... I hate the ones that are just "Bratz" or something with nothing Christmassy at all. I haven't seen a Cars one, which Mason would love but it would have to be a Christmassy Cars one if I got it anyway hehe.

I hope those Thorntons ones are hardwearing, they'll have to be packed in our suitcases and opened in South Africa...I hope they don't melt

OOHHH I just thought, Mason's cousins, Connor and William will be there too... I might have to buy 4 so they don't feel left out....I think that'll be nice, we don't get there till the 8th but thats 2 weeks of them all opening their own calendar every morning, then when we come home on the 22nd, they will still all be opening their calendars and thinking of each other

That's why I got that one for Aaron. I love proper christmas advent calenders not like you said Bratz or the simpsons. I thought it was a really nice touch for it to be personalised as well especially as it's his first advent calender. I have a new found love for thorntons now! We tried one of their strawberry pig bars the other day and it was lush! Gonna go back and buy my hubby a big thing of chocs for xmas now I might also get my hubby an advent calender with Daddy on it saying that he'd probably be upset that he didn't get a simpsons one

I don't usually go for Thorntons because Hotel Chocolat Have opened a shop near me and they are EVEN BETTER!

I've just had one of them open in our new shopping centre but never tried it. Went in and saw a tiny thing of chocolate for something like £4 so I walked out Thorntons aren't too bad on somethings but I just went online to make up a box of chocolates and they wanted a tenner for 16

Edit: Just looking on the hotel chocolat site and I like the slab of chocolate idea with the christmas trees
