Hey, I might get a job that will pay around 2100 a month, now I was wondering is this enough to pay for a normal flat (around 400 a month) and raise a child? Because my nan said it would be really hard to do, I personally think it would be fine but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't see why you'd have any problems, after talking to a few ladies on here quite a few of us will be raising a baby with less income than that, as long as your not stupid with your money you should be fine! xx

it will deffo be enough. i get half of tht and we get by xx

Thats plenty. even if ur rent per month was up to 600. xx

That income is totally fine to pay the rent & raise a child on xx

If you don't want the job i will have it lol. its a decent amount of money and way more than enough for you to live by work out all your outgoings and your incomings. add on the cost of child care to out goings and see what your left with each month and go from there x x x

I was gonna say..My nan and grandad barely get a grand a month and spending 600 on rent alone already, so that's 400 left for insurance and food..I know loads of people who have less and still go on holiday and having a car etc ^^'

me and oh get 2200 per month and during term time that goes up to 3000 (oh is a visiting lecture so his incomr varies depending on how much work he gets etc...but as a basic we have 2200 for definite every month and our rent is 925.00, 140.00 council tax (we get a discount as oh is also a phd syudent/researxher) approx 150.00 -200.00 on bills incl mobiles and we have one little man and another on his way. we dont throw our money down the drain but we always have a lunch out somewhere...........its deffo doable..... xx
