I think you are doing all the right things - dont let them fob you off honey, my consultant says the most important thing a doctor can do is listen to their patient - if a lady feels pregnant then she probably is!!

Hope friday brings some answers honey.....when we had our chemical my levels started off at 40ish at 14dpo (had been getting BFPs since 12dpo), 2 days later they hadn't risen but I had started bleeding, they then left me for a week telling me there was a 5% chance of ectopic (as levels hadn't risen but hadn't dropped) but probably it was a straightforward miscarriage. after that week of total stress they got me to do a HPT which was negative and that was the end of it.

If you get any strong pain take yourself to hospital asap as if it is ectopic there is a small chance it could rupture and cause a lot of problems, although I was told that this is quite unlikely so early on.

I'm so sorry you are going through this

I know how it feels because I had exactly the same last year. My levels were going up only around 10% every 2 days when they should have doubled. They were so sure it was ectopic that they did a laparoscopy but there was no sign. I'd had scans where I should have been 6 weeks and they found a sac which only measured 4 weeks... they said it was a blighted ovum and tried to encourage us to have a D&C... We held out and a week later on another scan they found our baby!

My due date from LMP should have been 25/05/08 but at the 12 week scan a date was given of 10/06/08 so our baby was 3 weeks behind. They said that sometimes babys start off slowly.

So there is hope

Things didn't work out for us though and we had our son at 28 weeks and he didnt make it... They still don't really know why - it's just one of those things apparently.

I dont know if this will help you or not, just thought I'd tell you that sometimes hcg levels are not the be all and end all.
