And I'm so fed up!!
Please nobody tell me to eat spicy food, have sex or walk because I am sick of doing those things!!

I feel like we constantly looked to 26th august and now it's passed I'm a bit lost! Feel like I can't go out too far but staying in is killing my mood, and although I've enjoyed my pregnancy this last week has been torture!
I've had 2 sweeps, loads of show, even a few back and period pains but nothing proper. I'm booked to be induced on 8th which will be such a shame as I had a home birth planned with a pool which won't happen if I'm induced!

Can I have some words of encouragement/any stories of overdue babies to keep me going? Or even some ideas on how to not drive myself crazy symptom spotting (it's like ttc all over again!)
Xxxx

Bless you Bextez.
It is going to happen, hang on in there.

I went a week overdue last month. Everyday past 40 weeks was torture. I can completely relate to the feeling of being in the 2ww, I was driving myself crazy with every twinge and tightening.
To cope I tried to distract myself as much as possible and made plans for each day.
I tried all the traditional things with no success.

I had a sweep at 40+5 and was told my cervix was very posterior and not favourable. At this point I arranged a reflexology session for the following day. This was really relaxing and I do think it helped
Later that night I started having proper contractions however these fizzled out when I got up.
Later on in the day they started up again and I went to the birth centre at about 10pm and had a completely natural water birth.

I really really didn't want to be induced and that's why I was so upset about going overdue. I know it's really hard but try to relax and believe it will happen.
I hope you're home birth goes really well.

Incidently my son was a compound presentation and had his hand up by his head when he was born. They think this is why he was late as the head wasn't moving down and pressing on the cervix so much.

Do you know what position baby is in? How engaged are they?
Xx

I went a week over with DS2 and I was foul the entire time. I was not a nice person to be around and I'm reaching that stage now as I'm in more pain this time around than the others. I have no advice on how to get through it, it's balls.

Haha Kumber thanks, just knowing I'm not alone in being grumpy about it makes me feel better!

Elspeth she's head right down and my cervix is favourable, thin and 3/4 cm dilated and has been for a week so I'm just not sure what's holding her back! If my husband makes me go on one more walk though I swear I might punch him lol!
We tried sex but I was so uncomfortable and felt so huge inended up crying, not exactly what you want!

I'm just trying to keep in mind that induction or not my baby will be in my arms by this time next week :)
