I know ... Apparently it's quite common that a twin is absorbed by the body during 5-10 weeks. It's called them vanishing twin.

It is sad however I am just so grateful that there was at least one heartbeat thinking positive xx

Thank you ladies ... As you know my scan two weeks ago identified two sacks with a high possibility one was a failing twin... As predicted on my scan today one of the sacks had disappeared and is thought to have been absorbed back into my body,,, however I got a fab heartbeat from the remaining baby they have pushed my dates back from 7w+4 to 6w+2 but said its really to early for accurate dating. the last couple of weeks have been an absolute whirlwind but I feel ready to now accept I'm pregnant, everything is going to be fine and I'm going to be a mummy xx

Thank you. My appointment was meant to be at 11am but they've rung to say they need to move it to 2.50, so now I need to wait nearly all day! I was feeling fine about it but have started to feel quite nervous today, I just hope so much that everything is ok xx

Oh sorry, yes, I seem to be posting all over the place! Scan went really well, saw baby's heartbeat and was measured at 7+3 so pretty much spot on Been a very emotional day and we're extremely pleased and grateful that everything is well xx
