5 months trying

Hi,
Im new on here and havnt posted before! Me and my hubby are trying for a baby and Ive been off the mini pill for 5 months. Every negetive test result is just as disapointing as the first (cannot imagine how it must feel to get the line in the correct bloody box) All advise from all my firends who all seem to have children and are exoecting or have just had their 2nd (which makes it even more heartbreaking) is not to think about it too much, dont do anything different and enjoy it. Well ive tried that and thats not working either and so now i am thinking about it, cant stop thinking about it! Ive been and bought an ovulation kit and hope that helps. As anyone please got any tips, I know about the bum under a cusion and will be trying that one. Just want someone to share these feelings with. Cant seem to talk to friends dont know why and eveyone just keeps asking are you pregnant yet? Its awful.

firstly welcome... aww hun hope your get BFP soon. there are loadsa myths that help you conceive i would try as many as you can..... i didnt do cushion i held my legs in the air after sex a great way to end it... nothing sexier than my ass in the air!! lol good luck!!! xxx

Hi twinkle, like you I've been trying for five months and getting a bfn is such a disappointment I know just how you feel. I've been using ovulation tests and it did make me feel better to finally discover with them last month that I was actually ovulating so they can be helpful.
I totally know what you mean about people asking if you're pregnant yet, I mentioned to one girl (after being grilled on the subject since I got married in August) that I'd be happy to be pregnant at any time (little does she know we're trying desperately) and she keeps asking me if I'm pregnant yet which, as I'm a private person, I actually do find genuinely offensive. To top it off she has two kids, and is starting to try now for her third and I'm sure she'll be pregnant before me. She bragged that she conceived her second after 'one sex session'!!
Well anyway some positivity now!! This board has been a great haven for me, since having my daughter I don't see much of my close friends anymore so i don't get the opportunity to confide in people, I find it really helpful to see people giving you advice on here, rooting for you and not making it feel like a competition. I've got one beautiful daughter already and hopefully if I relax and keep praying I'll be pregnant again when it's the right time.
I am going to force myself to stop typing now!!! lol, welcome to the forum and good luck with baby making!!

First of all welcome to the forum.

I know exactly how you feel, I have been trying for nearly 4 years now and it get fraustrating each time. there is nothing wrong with me or my partner, it's just that I am not falling pregnant for some reason lol I can see where you are coming from when your friends around you fall pregnant and you almost feel a slight jealousy and a bit mad in a way...We have all been there at some point especially me. My sister has fallen pregnant from a one night stand and is nearly 3 months and she is going to have an abotion, which I am totally against and I feel sooooo mad because I can't fall pregnant that easy and there she is swanning around and becomes pregnant and then no care in the world to get rid of it! I was so mad when my mum told me of the news and so is my mum, she is 29 years old though and have 2 kids already, so that's upto her I suppose

If you ever want to chat then do not hesitate to pm me or I am sure everyone else on the forum can also help you and listen to you as well

I say don't give up and carry on trying, one day it will come

Thanks ever so much, just reading your msgs makes me feel better that im not alone. I was just so nieve to think id have been preg by Christmas. All my friends have had no probs and im feeling a bit like a failure. However when i bought the ovulation kit the lasy in chemsit laughed when i said id only been trying 5 months, its just eveyone I know have caught on straight away. Because my periods are a but dodgy (late) since coming off the pill I dont really know where I am with my cycle and so get excited when im 2 wks over due and get lots of negetive tests. Didnt do one this time, my hubby asked when I was due and I said when it comes because I knew it would and it did. Thanks xx
