Hi Ladies,
I just wondered if any of you had experienced 3 labours and if so what was the 3rd labour like? My midwife has said they can often be quick, once labour starts properly but there can be a lot of false alarms leading up to that....

Thanks

Jenny

My mums 3rd was quick (she said 2.5hrs). My sister, who was her first, was 23hrs I believe....
My 2 SIL's also have very quick 3rd births, but other than that I have nothing contribute :( sorry! x

Anyone got any advice for 2nds baby's??? lol
I have a big party 1 week after baby is due and I keep telling family/friends I may not be able to make it because I may be giving birth/just had baby etc.

All of them said the same response - "second baby's are on time!". Really?!?! I don't believe that....

Same here lol baby number 2 for me as well and my mum keeps telling me second babies are usually earlier or on time, I went 6 days over with my first. My first labour was 8 hours 35 minutes from established labour so I'm hoping this one will be about half the time x

My 1st was quite prompt - 1 day early :) I was in est labour for 9hrs too - so hopefully some quicker births coming our way Roxyroo!
I'll let you know in approx. 8 weeks if our theory's correct lol x

DS gave absolutely no sign of coming, then at 11:40pm the night before his due date, I went straight into full-blown contractions out of nowhere. He arrived just under four hours later, on his due date at 3:35am.

Be interesting to see what happens with this one, but I won't know for three months yet.

My midwife said her first was 4 hours 10 minutes, then her second was just 15 minutes

I think it's the same as everything... Baby will do whatever baby wants.

As I understand it, the "typical" idea is that with subsequent babies, your body already knows what it's doing, so rather than dancing around "ooh, I might be ready... Nope... Yep... Kinda... Okay, let's do this", it's more "okay, we're doing this now".

Of course, everyone's still different. Xx

Hi im on baby no 4.
My 3rd labour was much quicker than my other 2. Was taken down to be induced due to waters leaking for over 24 hours at 12.35am and he was born at 4.17am.
My others were more than 8 hours and both on their due dates and 3rd was a week early.

I think I'd wet the bed if my labour was 15 mins!!

I want a quick one but not that quick lol. I'm scared at the possibility of labour being under 1hr....should be thankful I know, but the thought petrifies me x

Sorry to disappoint ladies but my first was 5 days early and had a 29 hour labour and second was 8 days late and was just short of 8 hours from waters going to delivery. Everyone's different though. I'm hoping for a lovely quick labour this time.

All mine were long apart from my 3rd which was 4 hours and 20 minutes xx

Anything will be an improvement on my first labour- I didn't even go into labour lol! Two weeks late and a three day induction

I'll just be happy with my contractions starting on their own this time.
