here I am again, Mrs Paranoia!

For the past few days, Ive been getting a weird stabbing pain in the left side at the top of my bump. At first, it happened spontaneously, sometimes when I was just sitting down.

Now, looking at my bump,I have a small soft raised area and it hurts to even touch it. The pain increases after cleaning or hoovering, I just hope its not a sign of rupturing of the placenta??! (my brother and sister in law lost a baby at 8 months pregnant due to this, so you can imagine my fear).

Please can someone tell me if they've had similar experiences or feelings? or if you've heard of it before?

I cant help hun, but i can understand your worry (beause of your family member)

I am sure its prob a stretching pain but could you not just ring your midwife incase ..... is baby breech? I am getting shooting pains in my lady bits but midwife said thats her head engaging

Good luck xxxxx

well I just feel Ive been pestering the life out of the midwifes these past few weeks.

I do have a parentcraft class this afternoon, and may just stay behind afterwards to ask... do you think thats being a bit rude and taking advantage of the midwife holding it?

xx

Not rude at all - I am sure she'll be happy to advise you if she can

Could it be your LO in an uncomfy position? Or a hernia?

My auntie was doing too much at this stage, cleaning every day, lifting and such, things you shouldn't be doing. She got a lump about 1.5cm's in diameter, on her right top side of her bump, turned out to be a hernia and it was very painful.
