As this is baby no.2 there are a few things I have not experienced! One of them is when to tell our son who is 4.
I have my 12 weeks scan on the 20th July and ideally we wanted to tell him when we know if we are having a brother or sister, I have found a place that will offer a gender scan at 16 weeks so me and dh are thinking of booking one, has anyone had any experience of finding out this early?

I want to make him involved so we have said about letting him choose the decor in the nursery and helping us to pick things but would really appreciate some tips on how to make him feel included.

I had a gender scan just beforeni was 17wks (was booked for 16 but had bad snow that yr n it was cancelled)..
Best thing ever! I loved it.

And it was very clear he was a little boy lol!! I could see it before she even said!
We had ours with babybond and id use them again :) xx

Thanks I think it is babybond by me as well. Do they guarantee they will confirm the gender? This will be my last pregnancy so am going to make sure I enjoy it!!

Yes they said to us if they couldn't they would invite us back again xx

Hi Ladies, I'm a 2nd time mummy too - my daughter turned 4 last week.

We're thinking about whether to find out too as think it would help to get excited and prepare for it, help decorate the room etc.

As for me, so many more symptoms starting much earlier, been nauseous since week 4 before even doing a test, morning sickness now started at 6 weeks. My first I didn't get sick until week 9 ish.

A lot more round ligament pain this time too as everything is stretched and can't fit in work trousers so leggings and tunics it is now to try and conceal!!!

Even the dreaded piles started already, had them late on with my first as she was a big baby 9lb 8oz so think my body is very well stretched. Sigh!

Ha same here! Although not the piles yet thankfully!!
We have decided we will find out at 16wks with private scan and then tell our son, I want him to have an input in getting things so he can get excited and feel included. He doesn't know we are expecting yet, I just ask him from time to time do you still want a brother or sister and he says he does - good job!
I was pretty sure I was pregnant within a few days of ov, I felt so different and the symptoms have continued, I learnt a lot in my last pregnancy about my body and how it works its scary how it all floods back!!
