Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining you! I used this forum 3 years ago when WTT and then TTC, I am now mummy to a wonderful 2-year old DS. We have made the decision to TTC #2 at some point next year, probably around Spring-Summer time. This is mainly a financial reasons as DS will get his 15 hours nursery funding in Jan 2016 so I don't really want to be paying nursery fees while on mat leave. Also there's a girl at work going through IVF so I am partly putting it off a bit due to that reason as I would feel awful announcing a pregnancy :-/ although obviously can't put my own life on hold due to someone else but it is a factor in waiting that bit longer.

My hubby isn't looking forward to TTC with much enthusiasm, don't get me wrong he definitely wants another child, we both want to give DS a sibling and play mate, however DS was a difficult newborn due to having awful colic and I think we are both worried about it happening again, hubby sees it as something that has to be endured rather than something to look forward to and get excited about! Whereas II've just started feeling broody again the last couple of months and I can't wait now, not particularly looking forward to giving birth or sleepless nights again but then I look how wonderful our DS ids and it makes me so excited to have another one! I want to come off the pill now not wait! Lol.

Anyway feel a bit better now that rambling is out of my head, it's not the sort of thing you really talk about in real life with friends is it, so will be good to be able to rant on here over the next few weeks or months xxx

Oh heck just realised I still have DS' s scan picture and ticker on here from last time I posted, will have to work out how to take that off while on a phone! X

Hi!!! We're waiting until May to add to our little family, we have dd who is about to be 5, and ds who is 2.5. When dd was born she had really bad reflux, which although less distressing than colic, was a complete and utter pain in the arse! Lol! My washing and ironing pile was just ridiculous from 3 days old! However, ds never had it, and it was my main fear, how do I look after a toddler while bathing and changing a baby at least 5 times per day! Totally the opposite! Anyway, don't worry about it cos it might not happen, and you'll probably regret worrying about it afterwards anyway x

Hi Mrs M, oh gosh Sounds like you had a tough time! Your so right and it is wasted energy worrying about it, I'm really trying not to :) do you mind me asking why your waiting until May? How do you find having 2 children ? DS is so easy now he sleeps all night, the though of a newborn again does terrify me slightly haha but at same time I'm so excited to cuddle a tiny baba again!

I'm struggling with the pill I'm on, having awful side effects and I can only take the mini pill so my choices are limited. So I am debating the idea of coming off it next month, but not actively TTC until spring. I think this is do-able as My DH works 12-hour shifts so we can easily go a week without really seeing each other if he's on nights never mind DTD so I am expecting a bit of a hard time TTC this time round with plenty of months where we miss the magic window altogether!
