2nd Scan question

Hi,

Just wondering whether anyone can shed some light on the following - its the only part of the anomoly scan i am confused with..

transcerebellar (TCD)

I understand its a measurement of the base of the brain or something but wanted to know a little bit more about why they measure and whats good and whats not.

It is a measurement of the diameter of the Cerebellum. From what I have found out, it seems is used to more accurately determine the age, and is also used, I think, to check for Downs. Not sure what is good or bad, but hope that helps a bit.
