Hi ladies, I’ve not been on here for a long time but really needing some cheer me up success stories.
We are currently in the midst of ivf. We had egg collection yesterday and we got 8 eggs. This morning, after 24 hours we only have 2 fertilised eggs left. If those 2 survive tonight they are doing a 2 day transfer tomorrow with 1 or both if they survive. I had my heart set on a 5 day transfer but because there are only 2 left they won’t leave them any longer in case we loose them aswell. Do any of you lovely ladies have any success stories after a 2dt? I’m feeling pretty deflated right now.

In my country 2dt is the most normal, and lots of people get pregnant by doing that. So don't worry about it, I guess?
My transfer will be 2dt if it doesn't end up being 2dt in the weekend, then it will be an older one inserted since they are closed for transfer in weekends.

Part of the reason embryologists like to go to 5 days is to establish which is the best candidate embryos when there is multiple choice. If there is limited choice then the feeling is it's better off in its natural environment.

I had a transfer at 3dt which led to a little baby boy (now 3 years old). I've never had anything to freeze.

I think the main disappointment here is that statistically things are less in your favour due to having fewer choices and there is nothing left to freeze, but in terms of possible outcomes you are still in with a good chance. It only takes one! All the best xxx

Hiya, I don’t really have any knowledge of the process but wanted to wish you the best of luck for a sticky bean or 2! X
