 all

Had 28 week appt today which went well. I arrived 10 mins early and she saw me then, and i left 5 minutes after appt was supposed to finish, so in total got 30 mins...twice as long as I should have got

It was really good, everything is fine. Finally found out my GTT results - normal, :cheer: no diabetes for me, but then she tested my wee and found lots of glucose in it still  think I'm just one of those people who just normally have sugar in wee but still I dont have GD

She's going to get me to meet the team at the hospital, cos I'm deaf and I was asking about communication and also about practical things like what if I'm in a room with a load of other women and I'm asleep and can't hear my baby crying lol the only thing I'm concerned about it the fact that I can't understand my DH at the best of times, so when I'm in pain and tired...realistically I won't be able to understand anyone in labour (dh did suggest he'd buy some pom poms and literally cheer me on through every push :rotfl: he said there's no mistaking the pom poms will mean push :rotfl: )

Whats the normal length of time in between midwife appts? My next one is at 31 weeks, thought it was gonna be later than that...not that I'm complaining, just wondering!!

Edited to add...Oh my goodness I did not realise just how long I have left until maternity leave (or how little I have left!) :cheer: :cheer: I'm excited now :cheer:

They are usually four weeks apart.

Glad everything went well!!

I like the pom poms idea

Great news about the GTT and I love the pom poms too, might even get my OH to do the same :)

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
Glad it went well!

I too love the pom pom idea! Hehe. It's good that you can get to know people first, i'm sure that'll make it a bit easier on you!

Your midwife appointments soun the same as mine, had a 28 week then 31 then 34 and they're every 2 weeks after that, its only like that with first time mums in my area.

Glad everything is ok with baby and i hope you can come up with some good solutions to your problems, i'm sure as long as evryone involved actually understands what you need etc then you'll have no problems
