I have been informed throughout my pregnancy of everything that is happening. but last antenatal (17wks) my midwife was sick and the cover dodn't have a clue what she was doing.

she didn't inform me of what will happen at my 24 wk appointment. Can anyone tell me what it involves?

At my 24 wk appt. the midwife just checked my blood pressure, measured me, listened to the heartbeat and asked a few questions. That was it! Have to go back at 28wks for bloods.
Good luck! Lucyx

I find that most of my apointments are the same. Blood pressure, wee checked, listen to heartbeat then feel size of the baby. Ask if you have any problems and maybe talk about movement but that might not be till 28 weeks i can't remember.

Thanks.

I don't need MATB1 form. I do not work. I'd just finished uni when I got pregnant (graduate next wk). I do need the milk tokens form though. I forgot last time (pregancy brain :? ).

If your not working the MatB1 form can be given to social security, and you may be entitled to £500 grant for the baby.

I was a student too, until I got pregnant, and I'm entitled to the grant. It is worth a go, so you can buy extra things for baby :)

Yes. The midwife mentioned the grant but you can't get it till 11wks before due date, which for me is 2nd of december, so probably in a couple of appointments time.
