16 week MW appointment

Ok i am over 16 weeks, but was a away last week.

I have my 16 wk MW appointment this afternoon and just wondering what to expect??

Is it worth OH coming with me or would it just be a waste of his time??

Ooo! She may use a doppler if you ask nicely! I was about the same date as you when she found babs' heartbeat for me for the first time

Yes - i heard the heartbeat for the first time at my 16week appointment, so definately worth him going with you xxx

Its different for other areas but at mine i had all my bloods done, got weighed, urine & BP tested and thats it. They don't use the doppler down here till 23 weeks but i know some who've had it done at 16 weeks so you might be in with a chance!

If your OH is home anyway then take him but i don't think it's worth an afternoon off work unless you know for sure your going to hear the HB.

Yodabo, good job you said about urine, i would have forgot to pee in the little pot other wise, better go and do that whilst i am thinking about it, other wise i might forget again. Brain is really struggling to remember anything.

I heard heartbeat and she felt where my uterus was, urine and BP done and a nice chat!

All went well, good BP, urine and i heard babies heart beat, which was lovely too hear.
