24 week midwife appt..

What should I expect?

Have got it booked for 31st August and was just wondering what would happen when I got there.

Is it just a routine check up sort of thing or will anything majorly exciting be revealed in which case should I take my OH?!

Also, will she steal more of my blood?! As I need to prepare myself for that one if she will!!

I think it will just be a normal check check tum, hear HB etc , I'm not having one so not sure this time round as not a new mum, I go straight to 28 weeks

I see midwife at 24weeks to hope she doesn't take more blood I hate it xx

Might be different elsewhere but at my 24 week appointment i had a normal check up. Pee, BP etc checked. They'll probably measure your bump and check for a HB. I had my 2nd lot of bloods done at 28 weeks.

Mine was exactly the same as you. They also asked me if I planned to breastfeed so they could write it in my notes and also asked me where I wanted to have the baby.

Oh thanks girls, at least I know theres a good chance there'll be no blood stealing for a few more weeks!!!
Ill have to write a list of questions, I always have loads and then totally forget when I see the midwife lol

Oh they'll probably offer it anyway but remember to ask for your hip grant too xx

Actually I think I had my matb1 form at 24 weeks and my hip grant form at 28 weeks. Worth asking about both anyway.
