20 week scan - When is yours? & Will you be finding out the sex?

Woo Danniandbump! what time is yours at ? I have to get up an hours travel to be at the hosp for ten lol x

I get mine on 4th Jan when I'm 20+6, I can't wait to find out what it is! If I had the money I'd definitely get a private one sooner but just can't justify it - if baby doesn't play nice at the scan though I will have to, NEED to know!

Kole - mine's at 11.45 an hours travel?! Be careful in this weather. It's certainly grim out there!

Cantstop - I'll be 20+6 too, and had my 12 week scan at 11 weeks so the wait has been painful lol. I'm in the same boat as you, simply cannot justify a private xxx

I had mine yesterday and decided to find out (after weeks of will we/wont we) but baby wasn't playing ball and had his/her legs closed and wouldn't open them no matter how much my stomach was jiggled about with the scanner!! I've to get another scan on the 14th Dec as they couldn't check the heart chambers properly so will hopefully find out then

I know, an hours travel to give birth too hopefully baby takes its time lol x

Mine is 22nd January. However we will not be given the option to find out the sex.

The hospitals in our area will not tell you at the 20 week scan - you have to book another appointment for 24 weeks if you want to find out and there is a charge.

Thanks DanniandBump, sonographer said it wasn't anything to worry about as babys heart was beating away as normal and was nice and strong but it is about the size of a pea just now so needs a couple more weeks to grow so they can see it better xx
