Squiglet said:When I went for my 20 week scan (was more 19 weeks) I was told the placenta was low and that I had low fluid. I was told to drink a lot more liquids and they would look at me three weeks later... Again like you I was told that there could be some problems with the kidneys but as the LO was lying in an odd position they would need to see me again.
I went back.. and I have to say I was really nervous where I hadn't been with the 20 week scan. They said everything looked fine... kidneys the lot, but the fluid, although up was still on the low side. So they will give me another scan in November, just to check.
The good thing is you are being seen now, and while I can say nothing that will allay your fears over the weekend, know that it might not be bad news but your LO just being difficult.
Fingers crossed for you hun.. and lots of hugs...![]()

Thanks everyone for all the hugs and kind words

Squig (great to see you back BTW), you have really reassured me. For some reason I forgot to mention that the kidneys and bladder were seen, and appear to be okay, but they can only say for certain once I have the scan on Monday as the baby was lying funny. As for the umbillical cord thing, I have been looking on the net and most babies are born perfectly healthy with this condition. Nobody said anything about the placenta and my Mum asked about drinking more fluids to increase the levels of amniotic fluid and the Midwife said it doesn't make a difference, but I will do anyway, it won't do any harm. The main thing is at the moment I'm not leaking from down below, and I need to go straight back if I start leaking, feel fluey, get abdo pain or backache, blood etc. I'm sure things will be fine on Monday
